2021-02-18 | At the start of the cooperation with HD+, Vestel launched over 70 TV models last year under various brands such as Toshiba TV, Telefunken, JVC and Hitachi, which had the best HD+ ever integrated. HD+ is directly on board with these models. End customers can use HD+ content including the HD+ comfort function without external devices such as receivers. Initially, Vestel only concentrated on selected UHD TV models, but from March 2021 all Full HD and HD-Ready TVs will gradually be equipped with the HD+ app.

Vestel Germany Managing Director Taner Ayilmaz is convinced: “The experience from last year shows that the integrated HD+ service is being accepted as a great innovation by both retailers and end customers. We are pleased to now be able to significantly increase the number of TV sets that offer this service. Ultimately, everyone will benefit from this."

Georges Agnes, Managing Director of HD PLUS GmbH: "Buyers of an HD television from Vestel can now also receive HD+ very easily and in the best HD quality via satellite: unpack the TV, connect it, enjoy HD+ - including the HD+ comfort function, which offers viewers that extra bit of comfort by restarting programs or accessing media libraries. This takes television to a new level and gives our trading partners additional arguments in sales talks."

Last year, Vestel sold well over 350,000 TV sets with HD-Ready and Full HD resolution. Thanks to the upgraded features and the additional marketing opportunities, Vestel expects even greater potential in 2021.
